Congratulations.

I dreamt about you last night and i fell out of bed twice.

I have sucessfully managed to finish four orders in a little over a week. Three of them are boxed up and ready to be shipped out. The fourth one was ordered as a gift and never got picked up, so I am not sure what is happening with that.

However, I forgot to take pictures of each of the creatures before i boxed them up. Silly me! But I asked all of the buyers to take a picture of the creatures in their new homes. That will be more fun anyway :]

My new little kitten is getting bigger everyday. Her favorite thing to do is knock thing off of shelves or counters or end-tables. She also does a lot of sleeping. She isn't very cuddly yet, but I am hoping she will grow out of that.

Lately, I have really wanted to go back to school. But just the thought of going somewhere new makes me feel nauseous.
That is kind of a problem :}

The Art Issue

I finished my skirt for good. Hurray! I also almost-completed two orders all in one day.
It was certainly at gratifying day for me.

While I am here let me turn you on to some great artists. Some I know in person, some i happened upon. Let's call this entry the Art Issue.

First off here is a girl near to my own heart. Her name is Eva and she is a dear, sweet girl. If you go through some of my older posts you can catch a picture or two of her.
Here is a link to her artist page on facebook:
Evie

Number two here is Seth. I know Seth personally and think his work is just amazing. I really respect his talent and vision. He is a really cool guy with a lot of original thoughts in his head.
Check him out here: Seth

Alexis Mackenzie is someone I actually don't know in person, but is one of my all time favorite artists. Here is an studio visit of her studio on fecalface.com, and here is her website.

Below is a list of things to check out:
Mel Kadel
Mike Stilkey
Chris Berens
Jeremy Fish
Ann Hamilton
Brian Dettmer
Swoon

that's all for now, or that I can think of.
I hope you like at least one of them.

We Go To Eleven

So I found an old poem. I'm not sure when I wrote it because there is no date on it, but I thought i would share it.

I own fingerprints
That I sometimes feel do not belong to me
And all of these pictures and the same face in the mirror
Are not mine to keep

The only thing I keep are these words I write, and the cat at my feet.
The ocean of blood that boils in my veins are yours
This body that you keep locked up so tight does no feel mine

But you can not have my soul
My soul belongs to another
Who claims the key to my heart shaped like a leaf

Now the battle has begun for me
Body, Soul and Mind

I'll claim them all in one swift breath
The water will fill my lungs and none will have me

I will have myself.

it's not the best piece i've ever written, but I wrote it.

I made a skirt the other day, I'll be sure to post pictures once I wear it. :]

I spent about an hour today looking through other people's blog. A lot of people have pretty interesting lives. Lucky them. Hopefully sometime I will get to do something fun with these days before they are laid to waste.

Who Am I

Lately I've been wondering who I am.
Am I this person in the mirror?
Am I this collection of photographs and notes from my past?
Am I this list of likes and dislikes, favorite movies, bands and books?

And no matter who I think I am, here in my head ever single person that I know has a different notion of me. Whether it be friend, lover, sister daughter or enemy.
It is daunting to think that there is no collective knowledge of who I am, besides my outward appearance.

Think about it sometime.

On The Shelf

that's right! I do have a blog!

So there is a lot to update, but my favorite way to update is through pictures! So here goes:

I got to see Dr. Dog and the Growlers this month! I suppose that is the most exciting thing I've done so far.
Getting a new apartment and a little kitty was exciting too. This new place has a huge art room just for me! I cant wait until it is a little warmer so I can paint it.

music, music, music
The Growlers-Little Miss Jack
Atlas Sound-Walkabout
Andrew Jackson Jihad-Two Headed Boy
She and Him-Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?

maybe, I will try to remember this exists.
